PSU Coursework

I am currently enrolled in Penn State's Certificate of Achievement in Weather Forecasting online program. This is a college-level, four-course program in basic weather forecasting, taught online.
The four courses in this program are:

Meteo 101
(Completed Spring 2011): An introduction to meteorology. Course description.

Meteo 241
(Completed Fall 2011): An introduction to tropical weather, including the study of hurricanes and ENSO variability (El Ñino and La Ñina). Course description. As part of this course, I completed three e-portfolios documenting case studies ofHurricane Ike (2008), the El Ñino of 1982-1983 and Hurricane Earl (2010).

(Enrolled Spring 2012). Fundamentals of mesoscale weather forecasting. Course description. This course focuses on severe thunderstorms and other small-scale weather systems.
